Asylum Ghost Tours runs immersive, spine-tingling ghost tours at one of Australia’s most iconic haunted sites. While their tours were popular year-round, off-peak winter seasons consistently ran at only 65–70% capacity, and their website wasn’t doing much to help.
We partnered with them to relaunch their site with better design, clearer navigation, and a streamlined booking experience.
The Challenge
Owner Geoff was juggling two major problems: low off-peak bookings and a flood of repetitive customer emails asking questions that were already answered on the site, but buried too deep to be found easily. It wasted time, money, and missed opportunities.
The Solution
We overhauled the website with a new booking-first layout and clarified key tour info upfront. We designed a mobile-first experience for tourists on the go, and cut down friction by making FAQs, pricing, and availability instantly accessible.
The Result
Off-peak tour bookings jumped from an average 67.5% capacity to 97.5%, an estimated 44% increase in bookings, turning quiet months into sell-out seasons. With each booking worth $50, the site generated a significant lift in revenue. Time spent on repetitive customer queries also dropped dramatically, thanks to improved content discoverability and higher task completion rate on the site, saving Geoff hours each week.
