The Red Lion in Cyffylliog is a rural pub and restaurant run by Nita, known for its traditional British menu, warm welcome, and community spirit. Tucked away in the North Wales countryside, the business had no website and relied entirely on social media to bring in footfall.
Nita came to us wanting a site that would get people booking tables, phoning ahead and making the effort to visit despite the location.
The Challenge
With no website in place, The Red Lion wasn’t appearing on Google and missed out on bookings from tourists, Airbnb guests, and locals searching nearby. Nita needed a site that would make it easy for people to find them, see what was on offer, and get in touch.
The Solution
We designed a warm, inviting website that captured the food, location, and atmosphere. We built it with mobile users in mind, and focused heavily on keyword research and on-page SEO to attract local searches. Menus, contact info and booking prompts were placed front and centre to help drive enquiries.
The Result
Since launching, the website has delivered a consistent 8%+ monthly conversion rate. New bookings are coming in every month, people are calling to ask about food, and the menu is being viewed regularly. Nita now has peace of mind knowing the site works, and her focus has shifted from worrying about performance to planning how to reach more people.
